How much magnesium is in Neuralisse?
80 mg per capsule, which is 19% of the Daily Value. The magnesium glycinate in the blend supplies it. Magnesium is important for regulating muscle and nerve function (ODS, Magnesium (consumer)).
Why doesn't the label show each ingredient amount?
Neuralisse uses a proprietary blend. FDA rules let a blend list only its total weight, with ingredients ordered from most to least by weight (FDA, Labeling guide ch. IV). Only magnesium gets its own number.
How much alpha lipoic acid is in each capsule?
The label does not say. Our math puts it at most about 175 mg, best case, after the magnesium glycinate. Most nerve trials used 600 mg a day (SYDNEY 2 trial).
Does Neuralisse contain gluten, soy or dairy?
The label prints no allergen statement, so we cannot say it is free of any allergen. Other ingredients are hypromellose (vegetable capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid and silicon dioxide. Ask the order desk if you have a serious allergy.
What is butcher's broom doing in a nerve formula?

What time of day should I take Neuralisse?
The label gives no time of day. Many people take it with breakfast, since CoQ10 is absorbed better with food (LPI, CoQ10). Pick one time and keep it steady.
Can I take two Neuralisse capsules a day?
No. The label warns: do not exceed recommended dose. One capsule is the full daily serving, and doubling it does not reach research doses safely.

Can I take Neuralisse with a blood thinner?
Talk to your doctor first. Turmeric may raise bleeding risk with warfarin (MSKCC, Turmeric), and CoQ10 may weaken warfarin's effect (NCCIH, CoQ10). Your INR may need closer checks.
Does Neuralisse interact with thyroid medicine?
Possibly. L-carnitine at 2-4 g a day blunted thyroid hormone in a trial (Benvenga 2001, carnitine & thyroid). One capsule holds far less, but tell your doctor if you take levothyroxine.
Should I space Neuralisse from antibiotics?
Yes. Magnesium binds some antibiotics. Take tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after, and space bisphosphonates by 2 hours (ODS, Magnesium (HP)).
What are the side effects of Neuralisse?
Possible effects include stomach upset or loose stools from magnesium, and nausea from alpha lipoic acid. Turmeric has rare liver injury reports (DILIN 2023, turmeric liver injury). Stop and call a doctor if you notice yellow skin, dark urine or low sugar. See side effects.
